In the winter time

I go a little out of my mind

The snow piles up outside

Warmth becomes harder to find

I long to see the sun

To feel it warm my skin

On the beach, I would run

A race I always win

But that is months away

I miss my energy

Don’t feel like doing stuff today

I’ll just stay

In one place

Try not to take up

Too much space

Keep to myself

Sit quietly

Let the world keep

Going on outside

While I pretend that

I’m OK

In the winter time

I go a little out of my mind

The snow piles up outside

Warmth becomes harder to find

I long to see the sun

To feel it warm my skin

On the beach, I would run

A race I always win

But that is months away

As I sit here

Letting time go by

I wait for my

Return to drive

The energy

That I am missing

When I grasp

I keep on slipping

Down

Waiting for spring

To warm me up

For it to bring

To fill my cup

Of life

In the winter time

I go a little out of my mind

The snow piles up outside

Warmth becomes harder to find

I long to see the sun

To feel it warm my skin

On the beach, I would run

A race I always win

But that is months away
