They were two college kids

Thrown together by chance

Neither one was expecting

To find true romance

They met through some friends

Were platonic at the start

When he looked in her eyes

That’s when she lost her heart

He looked at her funny

Stared right at her soul

He looked at her funny

She was losing control

He chipped away pieces

Of her protective shell

That surrounded her heart

She hid it so well

Like the waves of the ocean

Always reaching the sand

He got her to trust him

By holding her hand

She looked at him closely

She wanted to know

If he’d catch her when she fell

In love with him so

He looked at her funny

Stared right at her soul

He looked at her funny

Made her lose control

Caught up in the moment

Right from the start

He looked at her funny

And she gave him her heart

Today they will promise

Their hearts join as one

Vows spoken before God

Witnessed by everyone

They will love each other

For the rest of their lives

He’ll be her strong husband

And she’ll be his loving wife

He still looks at her funny

Stares right at her soul

But now she is certain

He makes her feel whole

Together they are happy

And that is a fact

He still looks at her funny

And she looks right back

He still looks at her funny

And she looks right back
